Every Click Counts. Show us what safety looks like to you through the lens of your camera.
The Theme: What makes you feel safe or unsafe in Manurewa?
We are inviting all Manurewa residents to use photography as a tool for change. This community-wide contest encourages you to capture and share visual stories that reflect your daily experience of our neighbourhood.
Whether it is a well-lit park where you feel at ease, or a street corner that needs improvement, your photos will help build a picture of our community's reality.

About the Campaign
Snap It. Map It
This is more than just a photo contest—it is a strategic safety initiative commissioned by the Manurewa Local Board
Goal:
To engage residents, businesses, and community stakeholders in identifying safe and unsafe spaces across our area By crowdsourcing insights through photography and digital mapping, we are fostering awareness and gathering real data to drive change
The Outcome:
Your feedback and photos will contribute to a final report and a proposed safety work programme that will be submitted to the Local Board by June 2026.
Other Ways to Participate:
The Digital Map
In addition to the photo competition, you can contribute to our online mapping tool. This platform allows you to pin specific locations and provide direct feedback on safety across the Manurewa Local Board area
